Tsunami Siren Test

Hello there!

This is just a quick reminder that there will be another test of the tsunami siren system on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at noon.  This week the sirens will be set off for 30 seconds with the actual warning siren tone.  This will be the first time the actual warning tone has been tested in Pacific County.

The PCEMA office is interested in receiving feedback from the Long Beach Peninsula regarding areas where the sirens are heard or not heard.  If you are within hearing range of a siren (sirens are reported to have a one mile audible radius) please call the PCEMA office at 642-9336 or 642-9338 and leave a message (PCEMA personnel will be in an EOC exercise at the time of the test) regarding your observations.

Thank you for your  interest and involvement!  Community involvement and support are key to the success of a good emergency management program.
