Long Beach Merchants Association BOARD Meeting
June 19, 2009, Benson’s by the Beach, 8:00 am
Present: President Steven Linhart, Treasurer Sherry Hash, Secretary Keleigh Schwartz, Board Members Ruth Ann Hocking, Jane Holeman, Jeff Harrell, Mayor Bob Andrew and guests Keith Schwartz and Marla Johnson.
Marla Johnson, on behalf of Strand Insurance, made a proposal for change in event liability coverage. The new carrier and policy will increase coverage, increase deductible to $1000 and cost $2,200 less. Motion by Keleigh Schwartz, 2nd by Jane Holeman to approve change in policy and pay. Unanimously approved.
Sherry will work with Marla to obtain Directors & Officers coverage which is expected to cost an additional $1000 (more or less).
Jane learned that the bingo equipment LBMA has been storing since closing the bingo operation cannot be kept by us, given away, or sold, except to licensed entities. The equipment must be moved out of the storage facility by 7/8/09. Keleigh to follow up with Roger Sauvie of the Gambling Commission to resolve before deadline.
