Who: Citizens, Decision-makers
What: A Short Course on Local Planning
Why: To get a basic understanding of land use planning
Where: Pacific County new Administration Building

When: Thursday, November 5th, 6:30 to 9:30 PM
Have you ever wondered how land use decisions are made? This short course will cover the following:
- Legal and practical objectives of planning
- Citizen participation and the public process
- Washington’s Growth Management and Shoreline Management Acts
- Constitutional rights and responsibilities
- Development tools and techniques
- Planning and environmental legislation
- County and Tribal planning issues
- Annexations
There will be three outstanding teachers/speakers. Normally, this type of education would cost a substantial amount per pupil. However, the Washington Department of Commerce, Washington Cities Insurance Authority, and the Planning Association of Washington have combined resources to provide speakers for this event at no cost to you.
