NEW BUSINESS
- Ragan Andrew and Jr. Miss Loyalty Day Girls: Kasey Bageant and Brianna George
- Introduce Crystal Bauer of the Chautaqua Lodge James President of the Board new roof, new ice machine, new boiler for the pool, rooms going where the conference rooms are.
- Aloha Charlie Fish Company (Charlie Gilbert) Fish stick…Jerky…full of omegas. Fresh fish, opened last Saturday! Closed Tuesday and Wednesaday!
- Vistor from Forks… Bob press comservices….raido paging (hospital pagers)
- Lacie Dewitt with Domestic Violence Awareness Event:
- Kendall spoke about domestic violence and who the program got started. 5k run/walk No budget this year….Fundraiser….Oceans of Hope silent auction, beer and wine.
- Ilwaco High School Girls Basketball Tournament: 20 teams scheduled to come
- 2 shirts left out of the 120 from last year.
- Asking for assistance again this year….Diane B. motioned to give $200 Gayle B. 2nd motion; Motion Passed. Jerry Phillips said that LTAC would also donate $200
- Chery Delih Human society look at flyer…..$25 minimum donation
- Raffle tickets are on sale 60in LCD T.V. and Blue ray player (Steven)
Merry talk about flyers….post office anything that has a $ amount on it they will take it down.
COMMITTEE REPORTS (15 min)
- Beach to Chowder Run/Walk [Sherry Hash] Steven reports.117 entries a month before the event up 2/3 over last year!
- Doggie Olympic Games [Mike Litawa] had first meeting last month…need volunteers for judging. May 19th meeting at the Breakers at 5pm
- SandSations [Becky Johnson] Merry reporting this year if sand in the city does not make money or break even then it will not happen next year. Stroganoff dinner at the Elks tonight fundraiser, Chili cook off fundraiser.
- Jake’s Birthday [Wendy Murry) Rat cards, Pod cast form Viva Las Vegas and Jake event was mentioned.
- Kite Festival [Jane Holeman ) Moving right along guests are confirmed and tickets paid for.
- Holidays at the Beach (Holly Beller) Santa won Best Motorcycle in the Ilwaco kids Parade and also got 3rd place for novelty vehicle in the Loyalty Day Parade. Big Thank you to Kimberly and Brittany Waltenmaite and Teddy Bear the mini horse. Name the Sea Serpent contest info is online….will have more revisions to entry info soon.

- Liaison to Long Beach City Council [Steven Linhart] Mayors Proclamation to youth week May 5th through next week …exemptions on property, announce May 21st at transport sation microw waves, fridge, can be dumped at no cost.
- Kite Museum [Kay Buesing] Not here…Jane..open house on the 19th 15th anninversy
- Loyalty Days [Bob Andrew ) Ruthanne gave report…weather meeting next Tuesday, entries a variety, banquets went well, sweepstakes award Ilwaco Pumpers, Founders award to Honor and remember, feeling good about it. Gave our 70 trophies,
- Surf Perch Derby [Dale Jacobson] Steven gave report May 14th Bolstad approach start as early as you want rules and regulations give Steven a call, Kiwanis serving breakfast, Lions serving Lunch.
- SummerFest [Ragan Andrew] schedules out for a while nothing new, ready to go.
- Long Beach Peninsula Visitors Bureau [Holly Beller] Una, after 3 years have a full staff, really exciting, PNW travel writers 3 media may 18 -20 and next in mid July. Tourism matters buttons new tourism alliance why it matters.
- City Lodging Tax Advisory Committee [Wayne O’Dell] Mike meeting did have a full quorum talking about 2012 budgets
- Liaison to Ocean Park, Ilwaco [Laura Price]
- On the go with Joe with Tom Downer talked about clam, beach barons have permits for poker run and, ocean beach hops vintage fundraiser, Saturday market running, fraud alert if you don’t register your credit card. Una added jazz and oysters will be moving to the Beach Barons field.
- Columbia –Pacific Farmers Market [Gayle Borchard]
- 6 or 7 vendors, not a lots of veggies yet but plant starts and others, community table bring flyers and that table can also be schedules can’t sell anything but can disperse information Opening day of the Market 3pm -7pm
- Cleensweep…$10 coupon if you have something bigger then yourself then call pen sanitation and they will come and pick it up.
Steven added…Mike to talk about garage sale for the human society…at Mike’s house all profits go to the H.S. $1800 last year raised!
- Liaison to Visitors Bureau [Holly Beller]
VB needs Volunteers!!! Work at Station Camp begins in May-lane closures thru end of May. Job duration is 6 months and can’t work afternoons on Fridays or weekends. Web report= web traffic up in March (7000 unigue visitors in 4 hours in March 11th). 4th of July committee is looking for volunteers. Chinook Gym will be opening in June for activities (no dedication date yet). Adrift hotel plans to have some rooms available soon, with all completed by July 4th, Will offer spa, possible exercise facility, new conference space, and is family and pet friendly.
