The Long Beach Merchants Association exists to promote tourism, improve the economic climate, and promote local activities that will stimulate business in the area of the city of Long Beach, Washington.

Long Beach is located in the southwest corner of Washington state, at the mouth of the Columbia River on the Pacific Coast.  Along with tourism, significant local industries include commercial and sport fishing, oyster production, and cranberry farming.​​

We invite you to join the Long Beach Merchants Association as a full or associate member.  Whether you’re a business owner, service provider, active retiree, or just interested in furthering the tourism industry here, your dues will help directly support local events that boost tourism and our local economy.  It’s a great way to meet and network with local merchants and business owners, support local activities, participate in community service and volunteer projects, and become an active part of this vibrant small-town community.  As a member you will have a vote and listing of your business on our online roster.

​​Hans, a veteran in the mortgage industry with 33 years of experience, excels at helping clients navigate the financial maze to secure their dream homes. As the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, he's focused on community growth and engagement, blending his professional expertise with a genuine passion for people. Hans is known not just for his financial acumen but also for his warm, approachable nature and his knack for making the complex simple. He’s a dedicated community leader who believes in working hard, serving others, and having a lot of fun along the way.

Bill Svendsen
 

Bill retired from a 35-year career in market research in 2019. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Long Beach Merchants Association, on the Board of the World Kite Museum, and with his wife Sue (currently Mayor of Long Beach) owns and operates the Peninsula Arts Center and the Long Beach Peninsula Acoustic Music Foundation. He holds an MBA and a PhD.

Daneka Ewert

 

Daneka and her partner Greg are the co-owners of BOLD Coffee, Art and Framing in Long Beach. She is actively involved with many peninsula organizations that elevate life at the beach for locals and visitors alike. She believes in strengthening communities through connecting people to place and to one another. She can be found in her garden at BOLD, attending a live performance, or wandering the beach with her golden retrievers.

Chris RedFearn

 

Born and raised in Texas, Christopher “Chris” Redfearn worked for the County of El Paso for over a decade within their Juvenile Justice Program. He later moved to Houston, TX where he and his wife of 9 years, Melanie L. Rodriguez, Ph.D., started a Hemp-based business. In June 2021 they relocated to the PNW and now call Long Beach, WA their home. He is a father to a
ten-year-old son and is one of three brothers. His family has served in nearly all branches of
military service. Chris currently works in Astoria, OR for the Astoria – Warrenton Chamber of Commerce as their Membership Director & Manager of Partnerships and Connections. Chris is a server-leader, volunteering with organizations in the past like S.T.A.R.S. an advocacy group
for survivors of sexual assault, the Salvation Army, Houston Children’s Charity. He held elected positions with A.F. & A.M. in Texas, and he currently sits as a board member for First Steps Center for Autism in Warrenton, OR and the Long Beach Merchants Association in Washington.  When Chris is not serving the businesses and communities of the lower-Columbia River, you can sometimes find him enjoying his hobbies of fishing, hiking, birding, and taking in the freedoms and beauty of this state.
